I have been working on this book for half a year. It was inspired by a series of lectures I gave to my residents on the history of surgery starting with the Neolithic period when ancient man was cutting holes in the skulls of their fellow caveman, all the way to the present when I took up robotic surgery. It is not full of doctor jargon, but understandable and interesting, lots of pictures. It is essential reading for everyone that wants to know the story of surgery.
